GIFTS-IN-KIND
Utah Tech accepts gifts relevant to the university which further the work of departments and programs. These non-monetary donations constitute another important avenue of UT support and are tax deductible
GIFTS OF SECURITIES, STOCKS AND BONDS
These gifts provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to UT before they are sold. You may find that this will create an income tax deduction as well as help avoid taxes that would have been due on their sale.
GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
Gifts of real estate are welcome and, usually, entitle donors to an income tax deduction. These gifts include personal residences, second homes, income property, and vacant land.
MEMORIAL GIFTS
You may make a memorial gift to UT in honor of a family member or friend, or to commemorate a significant event in your life.
AMAZON SHOPPING
Utah Tech University invites those of you who shop online at Amazon to participate in the Amazon Smile program. By purchasing Amazon your orders through smile.amazon.com and selecting Utah Tech University as the nonprofit recipient, the Amazon Corporation will donate .5% of the price of all eligible purchases to UT. Participating in this program is totally free for users. Amazon makes the donation on your behalf and UT never knows what you bought. This is a totally voluntary option for personal accounts. And anyone can designate UT as the nonprofit recipient, so feel free to share this information or the tutorial with friends and family. This program works for business accounts as well. So department purchasers, please be sure to make Amazon purchases through the smile.amazon.com website. All funds provided by Amazon will be used for student scholarships.
